CryptoLab
Cryptico has developed two compact and fast cryptographic algorithms, a stream cipher called Rabbit and a message authentication code called Badger. Together they constitute the basis of our CryptiCore® product.
Cryptico believes in peer-reviewing of security technologies. Only after a broad range of independent experts have scrutinized such a technology, can it be considered secure. For this reason, both of our cryptographic algorithms have been published at leading conferences, are available to the general public through this webpage and published papers, and have been analyzed by leading experts.
In this section, you will find a wide range of technical documentation for the Rabbit and Badger algorithms, from conference papers over reference implementations to reviews by external experts.
Rabbit is a stream cipher with a 128-bit key. It provides high security while still being extremely fast. Rabbit was first presented at the Fast Software Encryption Workshop (FSE) in 2003 and has been endorsed by several renowned experts. It is a part of the standard ISO/IEC 18033-4:2005/Amd 1:2009.
Badger is a message authentication code (MAC) function. Badger was first presented at the Applied Cryptography and Network Security Conference (ACNS) in 2005. Like Rabbit, it is fast enough for the most demanding high-speed applications, and its security can be proven mathematically.
Both Rabbit and Badger have been released into the public domain. |
